NASSAU TO NASSAU 7 DAYS SAMPLE ITINERARY

BAHAMAS

When Christopher Columbus first dropped anchor in the New World, he did so in the Bahamas.

These days, our charter clients are rediscovering the Bahamas, and most are quite satisfied with the treasures they uncover: brilliant turquoise water, sandy beaches, excellent fishing, and surroundings that range from swank hotels to secluded coves.

The Bahamas is the magical kingdom of cruising destinations and comprises 700 islands. With more than 2,000 uninhabited cays, these incredible waters are irresistible to those seeking crystal clear waters, world-class fishing and diving. Solitude, nightlife, fine food, deserted beaches, and perfect anchorages… the Bahamas really does have it all and provides the perfect combination of lively fun and laid-back charm.

Bahamas Yacht Charters Make an Ideal Getaway

Those making landfall in the islands can choose from three distinct locales. To the north Grand Bahama and the Abacos islands, in the center Bimini and Berry islands, and to the south the Exumas, Out Islands and Long Island.

Visitors in search of traditional resort amenities should head to Nassau (on New Providence Island) or Freeport/Lucaya (on Grand Bahama Island). Splashy Nassau, the biggest city and main port, is awash in pink colonial buildings, bustling street markets, five-star resorts and opulent casinos. In Freeport/Lucaya, the Bahamas’ second-largest port, options range from diving with dolphins to duty-free shopping. Those more interested in deserted beaches, the pleasures of uninterrupted sailing, and a generally slower pace will want to visit some of the many Out Islands, most of which are thinly populated or uninhabited making ideal anchorages.
