MONTENEGRO

Montenegro, a small but beautiful state in the south of Mediterranean is also known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean because of its exquisite beauties.

It is the land of contrasts: you can have a relaxing swim in the blue Adriatic Sea enjoying the view of magnificent mountain Durmitor. Its location, rich architectural and cultural heritage, and the diversity of landscapes and climates makes Montenegro a desirable tourist destination.

Montenegro is an ecological state since the 1991. If you want a magical vacation with healthy food and clean fresh water, Montenegro is a place for you. The wild beauties of its mountains, canyons, rivers, lakes and beaches have become world famous. The greatest combination of history with preserved nature is one that everyone should experience.

Located along one of Montenegro’s most beautiful bays is Kotor, a city of traders and famous sailors, with many stories to tell.
The Old City of Kotor is a well preserved urbanisation typical of the Middle Ages, built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site”. Through the entire city the buildings are criss-crossed with narrow streets and squares. At one of them there is the Cathedral of Sveti Tripun, a monument of Roman culture and one of the most recognisable symbols of the city. Carnivals and fiestas are organised each year to give additional charm to this most beautiful city of the Montenegrin littoral. You simply can not afford to miss a visit to Kotor.

Budva is one of the central part of Montenegrin coast, called “Budvanska Rivijera”. It has developped around a small peninsula, on which the old town is situated. It is by far most visited destination in Montenegro, attracting tourists with an old town, bars and nightclubs, and beaches mostly consisting of small rocks. There are as many as 35 beaches in the greater area, mostly rock and a little sand. During the summer in particular, the day and night-life offers opportunities to enjoy theatre plays and performances, music events and entertainments programs. It is base for mass tourism, while in its near vicinity there are luxury resorts such as Sveti Stefan or Milocer. Sveti Stefan is an unusual and unique place in the whole Mediterranean. It stands on the cliff of a rocky island with roofs red like rubies. A sand isthmus looking like a stem connects it with the land. It came into existence in a unique way.
