It is especially interesting because it has five distinct habitats. Wildlife includes, monkey, deer, iguanas and big cats. Sea turtles nest on Curu’s beaches and tidal pools are rich in marine life.

Cruise to Bahia Ballena, where you’ll find a national marine park with rock formations, small islands and some coral reefs, which is the perfect habitat for all kinds of marine animals and plants.

Steam to Isla Cedros and Isla Jesusita. Explore Islas Negritos just to the south, where you can visit a biological reserve and enjoy water sports and excellent fishing.

Bahia Luminoso & Isla Muertos—Take a hike to a beautiful secluded beach, or a horseback excursion to a waterfall. A short hike takes you to an undisturbed area for seeing howler monkeys, birds, iguanas and other exotic species.

On Isla San Lucas, you can explore what was once Costa Rica’s most infamous prison.  Visit Playa Naranjo, a favorite beach of surfers.
