Drawn by the allure of the legendary Christina O’, I embark on an exclusive educational experience aboard this iconic yacht. Originally a Canadian Navy frigate, it was transformed by Aristotle Onassis into a floating symbol of luxury and history, hosting world leaders, celebrities, and cultural icons. From the weddings of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly to high-profile meetings with Winston Churchill, the yacht has been at the heart of 20th-century history. Even Maria Callas, whose voice once filled its halls, has a lounge dedicated to her memory.  

Honored to be among 22 selected charter brokers, I find myself in Golfito, Costa Rica, immersed in an extraordinary natural setting. Here, alongside a team of Costa Rican experts from Origen Escapes, we explore the region’s incredible biodiversity. We paddle through mysterious mangroves, swim among bioluminescent plankton that illuminates the water with every movement, climb towering trees, and zipline through the dense rainforest. We encounter dolphins up close, learning about their fascinating behaviors, and traverse rivers on horseback, fully embracing the raw beauty of the land.  

After each adventure-filled day, we return to the refined luxury of Christina O’, anchored offshore, ready to welcome us back with its unparalleled comforts. From the jacuzzi and outdoor lounges to the spa and Aris Bar—where rum and cigars are highly recommended—the yacht provides a seamless balance of relaxation and indulgence. Having now reached the Caribbean via the Panama Canal, the yacht will remain there until mid-February before returning to the Mediterranean—always ready for new adventures and unforgettable experiences.
