When Cinema Meets the Sea: The Boat Aboard M/Y Don Michele

When Cinema Meets the Sea

Some stories are worth telling, especially when they bring together the worlds of cinema and yachting. Our motor yacht Don Michele was recently the set for the Italian thriller The Boat,  produced by Minerva Pictures. The film follows three couples spending a weekend aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, turning a seemingly perfect vacation into a journey of tension and mystery, with the sea as both setting and symbol, and Don Michele, named “Broken Wave” in the film, as the silent witness.

The Perfect Yacht for a Film Set
Built by C.Boat in 2016, Don Michele combines elegance, comfort, and sturdiness. The spacious interiors and generous decks allowed the crew to make full use of authentic onboard environments — from the flybridge to the main salon — bringing the true atmosphere of life on board to the screen.

A Special Behind-the-Scenes Experience
For Levante Yachts, witnessing Don Michele transform into a film set was a unique experience, showing how a yacht can become a place where stories, encounters, and emotions unfold, all accompanied by the rhythm of the sea.

Beyond a Vacation
Don Michele is more than just a yacht for leisure: it can host corporate events, photo shoots, commercials, or film productions, thanks to the comfort, privacy, and versatility of its spaces.

A Chapter in the Yacht’s Story
The Boat
marks a special chapter in Don Michele’s history, combining nautical elegance with cinematic charm. Today, those who step aboard experience not only luxury at sea but also sail on a yacht that has already been a star on the big screen.
