Francesco Barbieri, from Ischia island- Naples, achieved his degree at the Nautical School of Forio (Ischia) and during the five years he worked as electrician, hydraulic, as labourer both in construction companies and in a shipyard, as deckhand in several ships and even in a parking garage. He has always been an hard worked and a good willing guy. After achieving his high school degree, he started working as cadet in several ships but kept working on yachts – his biggest passion – during the summer.
He was 26 when he achieved his “Capitano di lungo corso” license (Sea Captain). He kept working as a cadet on merchant ships, always minding his only dream: being Captain of a fast yacht. The dream came true when, at the end of his second season as Captain on a Ghibli 60 feet, he was employed as Captain on a Pershing 88 for charter, where he stayed for 4 years. He was Captain on XKE Fairline 78 Squadron from 2012 to 2014; in 2015 and 2016 he was employed on Happy Feet, an Alalunga 78 and he’s now ready to “delight” his guests on Zia Canaia.
Francesco says: “I was 6 when I skippered my father’s goiter the first time, 16 when I left home to embark on a Johnson 63 in Sardinia, 20 when, as cadet, I handed the wheel of a 219 meters ship replacing a mate, 26 when I skippered a Pershing 88 to get to 40 knots speed….”. He is now a young, dynamic and experienced charter Captain ready to meet his guests requirements and knowing very well how to make them happy during a charter vacation. Francesco speaks fluent English

After 9 years (from 14 to 23 years) working at his family restaurant as pizzaiolo and assistant to the chef and at several Italian restaurants in London as pizza chef, in 2009 Adriano began his career in the yachting industry.
He started his adventure as deckhand on board a vintage Motor Sailer named CAPO DI FERO; little by little Adriano has had the chance to put into practice his culinary skills working also as cook onboard. After a few years, Adriano got the nautical licence for Pleasure Craft for Sailing and Motor Yachts ; then he was employed in Viareggio on a vintage 21 meters Sailingyacht, CAPITAN LIPARI, as chef/steward. Adriano sailed the coast from Gaeta to Elba Island and the coasts of France and Spain. He also worked on board MYOSOTIS, a sailing yacht for charter, obtaining excellent references.
During 2014 summer season he started to co-operate with Captain Francesco on M/Y XKE, Fairline 78; in 2015 on M/Y FAR FAR AWAY, Inace 38 Meters and M/Y MARHABA, Ocea 108, always as chef. In 2016 he worked as chef on Happy Feet, always with Cpt Francesco and is now ready to delight his guests tasting buds on Zia Canaia.
